Joe Casey, age 76, of Electra, Texas passed away March 15, 2017 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Electra. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Joe was born May 18, 1940 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to James C. Casey and Rosa Lee Woods Casey.

He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. After his tour of duty, he lived and worked in Visalia, California and Stockton, California.

He married Karen McDaniel on December 23, 1984 in Stockton, California. She preceded him in death on September 2, 2010.

In 1995, he moved to Electra. He was employed with the Electra TriMed Ambulance for many years and was the director of Emergency Medical Service.

Joe enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Moody of Stockton, California; and step-daughter, Kammie Price of Coeur-d'alene, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Shannon Patrick Casey; and three brothers, James Jerry, Charles Lee and Richard Derrel.
