Jo Ann Dugan Cummins of Seminole, Oklahoma finished her course on earth on April 27, 2025.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025, in the chapel of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Aulds Funeral Home.

An additional service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Matt Pollock, Senior Adult Minister, offiiciating.

Jo Ann was born May 14, 1939 to George Earl "Bud" and Georgia Gladys Coffelt Dugan in Archer City, Texas where she grew up and graduated high school.

She met and fell in love with her future husband, Nolan Cummins, in Archer City. They married August 12, 1960 and enjoyed a wonderful 64 plus years together. Jo Ann was a fierce defender of her family and the force that raised her sons and kept her family together.

Jo Ann was a talented seamstress making most of her son's clothes when they were young.  She also enjoyed cooking for her family.  Homemade desserts, jellies, and home cooked meals were enjoyed by her friends and family.

She worked for the Pecan Plant and Kwikset in Bristow, OK before retiring in 1995.  She enjoyed traveling in retirement making several road trips to California to visit family.

Through the years the family lived in Wichita Falls, Texas; Amarillo, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Bristow, Oklahoma; Longview, Texas; and after retirement, Seminole Oklahoma where they are members of First Baptist Church.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Bud Dugan and her brother, Wayne Dugan.

She is survived by her husband, Nolan of the home; her brother, Virgil Dugan, Sharon, and Daniel of Alameda, California; sister in law, Eva Dugan of Archer City, Texas; her son, Jim and Ginger of Seminole, Oklahoma; son, Jeff and Sandra of Bartlesville Oklahoma; grandson, Brandon Cummins and Kelsie of Mustang, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Laura Cummins of Moore , Oklahoma; great-grandson, Gunner Cummins and great-granddaughter, Emery Cummins of Mustang, Oklahoma; and a multitude of extended family and friends.
