Jo Ann Bitner Baughman, age 85, of Olney, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Olney.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Aulds Funeral Home with Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Jo Ann was born July 21, 1933 in Littlefield, Texas to the late, Jesse Faye Bitner and Cleo Nevil Willingham Bitner.

She and Mike Jefferson Baughman were married December 24, 1947 in Archer City.  He preceded her in death on July 7, 2007.

She was a loving wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother "Nanny" and friend.  She used to love to go fishing with her mother.  She enjoyed sending letters to everyone.  She used to tell stories about how she was pen pals to men serving in World War ll.  She never minded helping anybody.  She also taught many how to cook and later on in life she reminded us how to do it.  One of her favorite hobbies was playing bingo.  She was loved by many and will be missed by many.

Survivors include her son, Mike Jefferson Baughman III and wife, Terry of Llano, Texas; daughter, Paula Baker and husband, Randy of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Yvonne Baughman of Early, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Bitner of Archer City, Earnestine Baughman of Whitney, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by son, Richard D. Baughman; brother, Jr. Bitner and sister, Ademae Geis; two brothers-in-law, Richard Baughman and Berry Baughman.
