Jeanie Loftis Carriger, age 79, lifelong resident of Archer City, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her residence.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with John Welter, Executor Director of Scarlett Letter Ministries, officiating.  Interment will follow in Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home.

Jeanie was born November 18, 1942 to the late Roy Posey Loftis and Eleanor Lucille Prater Loftis.  She attended Archer City High School.

She and Charles Carriger were married December 1, 1960 in Megargel.  He preceded her in death on January 3, 2017.

Jeanie was employed by the Archer Nursing Center and also did home health.  She enjoyed taking care of the elderly.

Jeanie was a wonderful wife and mom and a good sister with a great sense of humor.  She loved CBN, Jimmy Swaggart and her dog.  However, her greatest love and joy were her grandchildren.  Jeanie was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Carriger and wife, Mindy and Mike Carriger, all of Archer City; one brother, Eddie Loftis of Scotland; two sisters, Margaret Ann Goodin of Kilgore and Carolyn Berend and husband, Rick of Windthorst, Texas; five grandchildren, Shaylyn Reedy and husband, Elic, Ashley Faulkner and husband, Kai, Alison Mathews, Brooke Washburn and Jonathan Fletcher; seven great-grandchildren, Kenzley, Sawyer, Kaylee, Gabby, Haley, Zaydin and Sage; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lilly Belyeu and Judy Elliott; and one brother, Billy Loftis.
