Jan Lee Cunningham Anderson, age 47, of Electra, Texas, passed away Saturday morning, March 21, 2026, in Hospice of Wichita Falls after a valiant battle against ovarian cancer.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Electra with Terry Grace, Pastor of Mankins Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Jan was born December 29, 1978 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Kevin Lee Cunningham and Treva Jan Morgan Cunningham.

She attended Holliday Schools where she graduated in 1997. After high school, Jan enrolled in Vernon College where she became an LVN.

Jan was a very crafty person and could make anything she set her mind on. She crafted T-shirts, cups, pens, posters and mums. Jan also enjoyed sewing and paint-by-numbers. According to her family, she was also the family selfie queen. Jan enjoyed Facebook and networking with others, and especially loved her cancer page, where she had many followers and made some great friends. Jan loved her family dearly and especially loved being Aunt Jan to her six nieces, whom she adored.

Even when she received a devastating cancer diagnosis, Jan continued to be so positive and was a fighter. Her joy and love of life was contagious to anyone who encountered her. Jan loved Jesus, and that showed throughout her journey. Her fighting spirit was a testimony to her faith in Jesus and to the world around her.

Jan attended Mankins Baptist Church and was faithfully there each Sunday until her health caused her to become home bound.

She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Treva Cunningham of Electra; her grandmother, Janetta Morgan of Holliday; two sisters, Becky Ferguson and husband, Cory of Kamay and Glenna Weems of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; one brother, Benjamin Cunningham of Electra; one daughter, Morgan Melton and husband, RJ of Canton, Missouri; two sons, Matthew Anderson and wife, Jill of Runaway Bay and Kevin Anderson of Electra; and six nieces, Kaitlyn, Samantha and Molly Ferguson of Kamay, and Brooke and Bailee West and Annie Weems of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Jan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond Morgan and Larry and Mary Cunningham; two uncles, Daniel Cunningham and Neal Harms; and one nephew, Colt Weems.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
