James Lott, Sr., age 101, of Electra, Texas passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the Electra Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m.  Friday, January 15, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with Clark Jones, Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Dick Sparks Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.  Due to Covid, the family requests that all visitors wear a mask at all times during visitation and service.

James was born October 26, 1919 in Koran, Louisiana to the late Sheppard Lott and Cora Ann Kennon Lott.

He married Tressie Lee Camp and together they had twelve children.  James worked hard and provided for his family,  He was employed by Lincoln Tank Truck Company in Louisiana and relocated to Electra with the company.  He also was the chauffeur for the owner of the company.

James was a self-made man and did things the way he wanted and had a wonderful life.  He made his own footsteps.  His motto in life was "Live and Let Live"  James enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Survivors include three sons, James Lott of Shreveport, Louisiana, Arthur Lloyd Lott and wife, Ann of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Charlie Lott and wife, Donita of Amarillo, Texas; three daughters, Rose Lott of Electra, Joann Mills of Ft. Worth and Mary Lott of Electra; one sister, Marie Lott of Shreveport; twenty-nine grandchildren; and a host of Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six children and seven grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Karen Branch and Dena Orr for all the loving and wonderful care that they gave to their Dad.
