James Milton "Runt" Henderson, age 94, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Electra with Joe Ainsworth officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
James was born November 21, 1921 in Finley, Oklahoma to the late William O. Henderson and Vandelia Addeline Brandenburg Henderson.
James graduated from Electra high School in 1938.
He and Shirley Wayne Ward were married February 17, 1944 in Houston, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 14, 2003.
James was self-employed for fifty years as a pipeline welder. He lived in Fremont, Nebraska from 1960 until 1974 when he moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
James was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee. He also was a Mason for thirty five years and was a Shriner for fifty-two years.
Survivors include four daughters, Sharon Bassarab and husband, Joe of Woodbridge, Virginia, Linda Jenkins and husband, Steve of Lincoln, Nebraska, Candy Henderson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Kimberly Henderson of Littleton, Colorado; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
