James M. Kelley, 72, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at his home in Melbourne, FL.

Services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018, at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Archer City, Texas.  Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.  Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Born December 23, 1945 in Fredonia, KS, James was the son of the late Pat and Sadie Kelley.  He served 30 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Command Master Chief in 1992.  During his years of service, James served on eight ships.  He was a Vietnam and Desert Storm Veteran.

James loved fishing, watching baseball, but enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his dogs.

James is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Judy Kay Petit Kelley; children: Jimmy Kelley and his wife, Crystal, Javonna Nordin and her husband, Dennis, Susie Knight and her husband, Ronnie, Joanie George and her husband, Richard; Grandchildren: Patrick Kelley, Julie-Ann Kelley, Calvin Nordin, Autumn Nordin, Kaylee Knight, EJ Knight, Raelyn George; and great grandchildren: Jaxson Kelley and Braxton Martinez.

James was preceded in death by his brother, Don and his sisters, Mary, Darlene, Coleen, and Judy.
