James Clark  "Jim" Orvis, age 82, of Windthorst, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, in Wichita Falls.

Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Jim was born November 6, 1938 in Middlebury, Vermont to the late Ceylon Orvis and Gladys Olmstead.

He married Virginia Lee Urban and she preceded him in death on March 25, 2007.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant.

Jim was an avid Texas Rangers fan; however, his greatest joy was being "Paw Paw" to his seven grandchildren. He loved watching them in their sports activities and could often be seen in his Trojan Blue and #32 Oklahoma Sooners cap. Windthorst became a second home to Paw Paw and he appreciated all of the friendships, coffee shops talks, and road trips to support the home team.

Survivors include sons, Kevin Kee of Allen, Texas, Rodney Kee of Wichita Falls and Wayne Orvis and wife, Jolene of Libertyville, Illinois; daughter, Teresa Veitenheimer and husband, David of Windthorst; brothers, Dickerman Orvis and Joseph Orvis; and seven grandchildren, Lance Veitenheimer and wife, Tahler and son, Patrick, Skylar Veitenheimer, Tatum Veitenheimer, Ryan Kee, Allison Kee, Michaela Orvis and Francesca Orvis.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jerry, Oliver and John Orvis; and sister, Sister Marie Rosaire (Gwen).
