Jackie Stephenson

Celebration of life services for Jackie Stephenson, 93, of Lubbock will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 graveside at Resthaven Memorial Park with John Donnerberg, Nazarene Minister officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Jackie joined the love of her life to whom she was married almost 70 years, family and friends in heaven on April 10 after a long and fulfilling life that saw her loved and respected by all who knew her.

She was born on April 4, 1923 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Eugene and Porter McKee.

Jackie and Tollie were married on September 30, 1939. They made their residence in Ropesville until moving to Lubbock in 1942.

Jackie was well known as the owner of Ultimate Eyewear and her partnership with Drs. Petty, Dean and Bowen for many years. She was also recognized often performing her duties as a greeter at First Nazarene Church in Lubbock. Interestingly on June 5, 1977, she greeted a new family on their first Sunday in town and her future daughter-in-law, LaCynda, who is married to her son, Mark Stephenson of Coppell.

Jackie is joining family already in heaven – son, Steve; grandson, Adam; Steve's stepson, Eric; brother, Gene; all her sisters – June, Jimmie, Audrey, and Ruth.

She is survived by Mark and LaCynda; grandchildren, Lisa, Chris, Ashley; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Nazarene Church in Lubbock.
