Irma Adams, age 83, of Archer City, Texas passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, in the Archer City Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014, in the New Electra Cemetery with Dennis Hoff, Minister of the Southside Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Irma was born May 23, 1931 in Vernon, Texas to Hershel A Dodson and Clara Dozier Dodson.
She and Herman Adams were married May 22, 1950 in Throckmorton, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1990.
Irma was a caregiver throughout her life and helped many people with their needs in Archer City. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughter, Robbie Walker of Ft. Worth, Texas; son, Loyd Walker and wife, Ruth of Gainesville, Texas; three grandchildren, Anna Turpin, Billie Rush, and Kimberly Besher; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Sewell and George Dodson.
The family suggests memorials to the Archer City Nursing Home, P.O. Box 786, Archer City, Texas 76351.
