Iris Wenona Parmley Clynch, age 96, of Electra, Texas passed away Tuesday evening, June 19, 2018, in Electra Health Care.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Lee officiating.  Interment will follow in New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Iris was born December 2, 1921 in Wilbarger County to the late Bev Parmley and Della Mae Parker Parmley.  She grew up on a farm north of Harrold, Texas being number seven of eight children.  She attended Guyer School then Harrold School.

While attending Harrold High School, she met Clarence Clynch.  They were married August 21, 1937 in Frederick, Oklahoma.  They  lived on a farm in the Red River area where they raised their four children.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Urban Byrd and husband, John of Wichita Falls, and Judy Holmes and husband, Johnny of Arlington, Texas; one son, Pat Clynch of Harrold, Texas; one sister, Doris Nell Roth of Houston; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Iris was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Clarence and three children, John Allen, Patricia Ann and Michael Melvin.
