Helen Martinka, age 93, of Scotland, Texas passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Vigil service and rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2015, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland with Rev. Michael Moloney, O.F.S. Parochial Administrator of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, and Deacon Don Brown officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Helen was born January 17, 1922 to the late Ferdinand Teichman and Francis Zaskoda Teichman in Scotland.

She and Wence Martinka were married November 2, 1959 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland. He preceded her in death on September 2, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one son, Joey, on March 9, 1968.

Helen was a lifetime member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and St. Boniface Altar Society. Her passion was playing dominoes and beating the socks off any opponent who dared to play with her. She enjoyed playing the harmonica. Helen loved life and accepted anything that came her way. She had a great sense of humor which she never lost even until her last days.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Marie Teichman of Scotland; thirty-three nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.
