Helen Dow, age 89, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away Sunday morning, October 11, 2015 at her residence.

A private service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, in the Electra Memorial Park in Electra, Texas, with her niece, Lona Franczak, officiating. Her services were entrusted to Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Helen was born April 8, 1926 in Bellevue, Texas to the late Roe McBroom and Velma Parks McBroom. She was a graduate of Electra High School in 1945 and had been employed as a secretary for Falls Distributing until her retirement in 1980. She was an avid gardener who loved cooking and spending time with her many grandchildren.

She and Joe Dow were married June 26, 1978 in Clayton, Missouri.

She is survived by a large family of five generations, including her husband Joe of the home; two daughters, Jo Lynne Fox and her husband Tony of Tipton, Oklahoma, and Kayla Beth Dix and husband Johnny of Weatherford, Texas; one son, Larry G. McCullough of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister, Henrietta Cook of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Wayne McCullough; three brothers, William, Jack, and Bill McBroom; and one sister, Audie Young.
