Hazel Lee Fitts Morgan, age 99, of Electra, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, December 24, 2023, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Electra Memorial Park with Terry Hickman, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Electra, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Hazel was born March 16, 1924 in Martin County, Texas to the late George Washington Fitts and Cora Bell Smith Fitts.

She and Orville Eugene Morgan were married July 6, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He preceded her in death on April 20, 1993.

Hazel was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.  She was well-known for her chocolate and pineapple pies.  Hazel loved all of her animals and had many cats and dogs throughout her life.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Electra and had been since the age of seventeen.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Elkins and husband, Cleon of Electra; one son, Leon Morgan of Electra; one brother, Jerry Fitts and wife, Brenda of Electra; three sisters, Norma Beaver and husband, Jim of Jacksonville, Florida, Vi Goodwin and husband, Jim of New Braunfels, Texas, and Geraldine Payne of Flagstaff, Arizona; one brother-in-law, Walter Hall of Dallas; two grandchildren, Mark Morgan and wife, Erica and their daughter, Emily of Frisco, Texas and Chris Morgan and his daughter, Addyson of Fresno, California.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and G.W. Fitts and two sisters, Lela Smith and Mary Hall.
