Harold Lee Garlington, age 96, of Archer City, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the Archer City Cemetery with Mikey Pesqueda, Pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Harold was born January 14, 1929 in Electra, Texas to the late Dewey Lee Garlington and Sylvia Mae Ward Garlington.
He married Helen Jo Biggers on June 8, 1947 in Loving, Texas. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2002 after fifty-five years of marriage. He then married Sarah Catherine Pryor on August 9, 2015.
Harold worked for the Fort Worth Highway Department and General Dynamics in Fort Worth. He then worked for L.T. Burns for forty years before retiring in 1991.
Harold became a Christian at the age of 13 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City. He did volunteer work for Interfaith Ministries in Wichita Falls and the Archer Service Center. Harold loved gardening, cooking and baking.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; one son, Bobby Garlington and wife, Leslie of Wichita Falls; grandson, Bradley Garlington and wife, Rebecca of Athens; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Braden, Aaron and Cooper; granddaughter, Brandie Hall and husband, Aaron of Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Allyson, Austin, Trinity, Logan and Averie; daughter-in-law, Diane Garlington of Archer City; granddaughter, Heather Miller and husband, Isaac of Archer City; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Harper; granddaughter, Ricka Willett and husband, Blaine of Lakeside City; great-grandchildren, Ericka and Bailey; daughter, Sharon Graham and husband, Andy of Wichita Falls; grandson, Nicholas Graham and wife, Leslie of Archer City; great-grandchildren, Rachel and husband, Braydon, Audrey and Jill; grandson, Robbie Graham and wife, Megan of Lawton, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Ptolemy, Selah, Saphira and Lockwood. He also had five grown bonus children, Bianca Goodner and husband, Harold of Lake Kickapoo, Mike McCarty and wife, Vicki of Wichita Falls, Kirk McCarty of Arlington, Christine Timmons and husband, Chris of Throckmorton, and Marty Neises and husband, Dan of Burkburnett and eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Rickey Joe Garlington on September 13, 2009.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Nicholas Graham, Robbie Graham, Ptolemy Graham, Brad Garlington, Aaron Hall and Braydon Arnold.
