Ginger Birdwell Beisch

Ginger Birdwell Beisch was born October 23, 1941 to Dorothy (Harris) and John Birdwell. When they took Ginger home from the hospital, her sister Johnette met her at the door.  Both girls were so happy when sister, Anna, and brother, Mike, came along to complete their tight-knit family.  Ginger passed away October 3, 2022 at Hospice of Wichita Falls, just shy of her 81 st birthday, after a short-term illness.

The Birdwell family lived in, and dearly loved, Kamay, Texas.  Ginger graduated from Valley View High School in 1960 and from East Texas State University (Texas A&M Commerce) in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  Ginger retired in 2004 from Electra ISD after 35 years of teaching…Middle School!  She continued her love of teaching as a Sunday school teacher at Colonial Church.  She loved teaching and she loved sharing God's word.

Her parents, and her son, Ross Alex Beisch, preceded Ginger in death.  Her brother, Mike also went before her.

Her daughter, Annginette, and husband, Drayton Gillit, survive Ginger along with her granddaughters Marshal Gillit and Taylor Gillit.  She is also survived by her sisters, Johnette Phillips and Anna Phillips, sister-in-law, Judy Birdwell, along with a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Ginger had a servant's heart.  She was actively involved in Colonial Church and loved her small group affectionately named the Groovy Grannies.  She was also a member and/or officer in Senior Junior Forum, Texas Retired Teachers and the Wichita County Historical Society.

A celebration of life will be at Colonial Church in Wichita Falls Friday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. and visitation is set for Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, that was so good to her son Ross, or to Hospice of Wichita Falls…the most wonderful place, this side of Heaven.
