Gerald Cryer, age 68, of Electra, Texas passed away Monday, October 5, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the First Baptist Church with Darwin M. Stroud, Pastor of the First Assembly of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Gerald was born January 13, 1947 in Madill, Oklahoma to the late C.V. Cryer and Pauline Peevey Cryer.

He attended school in Tipton, Oklahoma.

Gerald and Barbara Kelley were married August 6, 1965 in Frederick, Oklahoma. They moved to Electra in 1966.

Gerald was employed at Natco for forty-two years. He was a car enthusiast who built a 1922 T Bucket from the ground up and showed it at many car shows. Gerald enjoyed working in his shop, making jewelry and growing blue bonnets.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cryer of Electra; two sons, Darryl Don Cryer and wife, Kim of Electra, and Rodney Alan Cryer and wife, Monica of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren, Kayla Don Cryer of Electra, Reese Alan Cryer of Amarillo, and Travis Wayne Fannin of San Diego, California and three sisters, Janell Romines of Tipton, Oklahoma, Brenda Henson and husband, Tommy of Tipton, Oklahoma, and Reba Sheffield and husband, Donnie of Frederick, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayland and Bob Cryer; and one sister, Janis VanAntwerp.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darryl Cryer, Rodney Cryer, Nathan Kelley, David Moeller, Waylon O'Roark, and Stevie Perez.
