George Cassey, Jr., age 67, of Electra, Texas passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, in the Electra Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
George was born April 29, 1949 in Vernon, Texas to the late George Charles Cassey, Sr. and Almeda Marie Adams.
George married the love of his life, Linda Andrews, on October 23, 1968 in Vernon, Texas, She preceded him in death on June 22, 2016.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his tour of duty, George was employed in the oilfield throughout his life. He was the hardest working and fairest man you could ever know. George was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was easy to love and slow to anger.
Survivors include his son, Chuck Cassey and wife, Lisa of Abilene; two brothers, Virgil Blackwood and wife, Linda of Vernon and Alfred Sparks and wife, Rosemary of Stafford, Virginia; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
