George Marvin Alexander, age 99, lifelong resident of Electra, Texas, passed away, Thursday morning, September 5, 2024, at his residence.

Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Clara in Clara, Texas with Rev. Dr. Doug Kabell officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

George was born February 17, 1925 in Electra, Texas to the late Herbert Con. Alexander and Sallie Mitchell Bethell Alexander.

He and Bernice Klinkerman were married April 4, 1948 in Clara, Texas.  She preceded him in death on April 2, 2015.

George was a carpenter throughout his life.  He enjoyed fishing.  George was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Clara.  He was a loving father to his son, Dwayne Stephen Alexander.

Survivors include his son, Dwayne "Cool" Alexander of Electra; one sister, Shirley Morlock of Garland, Texas; niece, Sheila Chaney and husband, Rickey of Burleson; great-nephew, C.J. Chaney and wife, Courtney and their children, Mackenzie, Makayla and Mackenna of Keller.
