Beth was born December 22, 1931 in Thomas, Oklahoma to the late Gilbert Sidney Lax and Ona Mae Davis Lax. One of six children, everyone called her "Bizzy" because she was always busy taking care of her younger siblings and getting things done around the house.
In 1949, Beth graduated as the Valedictorian of her class of thirty. While in school, she substituted for the English teacher and was not very popular with her classmates for doing so. She then attended Draughons Business College where her parents gave her a calf to pay for her classes.
She and Samuel Berlin Nason, Jr. were married November 22, 1950 in Electra. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1999.
Beth was a devout Christian. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church until 2007 when she became a member of Allendale Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. Beth served as the treasurer for both churches.
Beth worked at Wacker's in Electra and was the bookkeeper for the family business. She loved reading but only books with happy endings. If there were bad words in the books, she would tear out the pages or quit reading it. She enjoyed Search the Word books. Beth was great at growing plants and could take any little thing and make it grow.
