Eddie Dwain Cansler, age 73, of Burkburnett, Texas, formerly of Electra, Texas, passed away February 21, 2013 in Burkburnett.
Private graveside services were held Saturday, February 23, 2013, in the Vashti Cemetery with Chaplain Keith Jenkins officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Eddie was born July 26, 1939 in Vashti, Texas to Edgar Roy Cansler and Ina Pauline Bowden Cansler.
He attended school in Electra and then joined the Army. Eddie was an electrician throughout his life.
He moved to Burkburnett where he was a resident of Evergreen Health Care. Eddie served as president of the Resident Council for two terms and was awarded the Honored Resident Volunteer position.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Cansler of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Janet Parker of Wichita Falls, Kay Skidmore and Lyn McCracken of Burkburnett; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Cansler; his mother, Pauline Cansler Isberto; his step-father, Chief Isberto and one son, Eddie Wayne Cansler.
