Doug Hackett, age 51, of Electra, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in the Electra Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of Doug's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the First Assembly of God of Electra with Joe Grace, Pastor of First Assembly of God, officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Douglas Allan "Doug" was born October 28, 1965 in Buffalo, New York to Gaylord Duane Hackett and Geraldine Poiela Hackett.
He and Tylene Simmons were married May 28, 2003 in Wichita Falls and moved to Electra in 2004.
Doug had been a bricklayer and a welder most of his life.
He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by his wife, Tylene; son, Allan Douglas; daughter, Misty Simmons all of Electra; six brothers, Darryl Hackett of Florida, Brian Hackett of Georgia, Derrik Hackett of Georgia, Timothy Hackett and wife, Susan of Alabama, Kenneth Hackett of Brownwood, and Gaylord Duane Hackett, Jr. of Utah; two sisters, Rosteen Currence of Georgia and Dawn of Florida; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Wanda Pace of Emory, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
