Dorothy Ann Brown Sluder, age 87, lifelong resident of Electra, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Electra Memorial Park with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church in Archer City, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Dorothy was born August 6, 1937 in Electra, Texas to the late William Paul Brown and Lola Ellen Darr Brown.

She was a 1957 graduate of Electra High School.

Dorothy and Alfred Levoy "Al" Sluder, Jr. were married November 8, 1965 in Electra, Texas.  He preceded her in death on February 20, 2012.

She loved arts and crafts and working in the yard.  Dorothy was a member of a community ladies circle where they crafted and held fundraisers, but mostly enjoyed great fellowship.  She was always a very sweet and caring person.

Throughout her life, Dorothy was a housewife who loved her family dearly. She was also a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Ima Jean Barker of Electra; five nieces and nephews, Valerie Epps and husband, Paul and their son, Kyle and Daniel Barker, all of Electra; Linda Hodgkins, Barbara Condron and husband, Jackie and Eddie Dale Green and wife, Anna, all of Lubbock; and one brother-in-law, Dale Green of Lubbock.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by three brothers, William David Brown, Jackie Ray Brown and Jerry Paul Brown; and one sister, Mary Ellen Green.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to any animal shelter of your choice.
