Doris Ann Matthews, age 77, of Electra, Texas passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Monday, April 28, 2025, in Electra Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Doris was born November 20, 1947 in Olney, Texas and was raised by her parents, Willard Roach and Dorcas Ann Burt Roach.

She and "Buster" Norvell Matthews were married March 28, 1975 in Electra.  Doris was a seamstress and a cook throughout her life.  She enjoyed camping and painting.

Survivors include her husband, Buster Matthews of Electra; three daughters, Tresa Ann Gilbert and husband, Randy Brown of Hearne, Texas, Joyce Doshier of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Anna Nicole Henry and husband, Charles of Electra; one sister, Deloris Whisenhunt and husband, Danny of Crandall, Texas; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Dorcas Roach; one son, Larry Wayne Gooch; one brother Albert Larry Roach and one sister, Hattie Loraine Ragland.
