Doris Ann Day, age 82, of Electra, Texas, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, in Electra Healthcare Center with her loving husband and daughter by her side.

Honoring Doris’s wishes, there will be no formal services held at this time. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Doris was born October 14, 1943 in Paducah, Texas. Her parents were the late Stanley Findley and Marie Carroll Findley.

She and Jerry Robert Day were married June 14, 1960, in Denver, Colorado.

Doris worked for Storage Technology, in Lafayette, Colorado, building computer boards and components for over twenty years.

She had a love of painting and created many beautiful pictures. Doris also enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Jerry Day of Electra; one daughter, Joanna Aragon of Electra; a brother, Elbert Cansler and wife, Verdie of Fredericksburg, Texas; one grandson, Joshua Aragon of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Shayla Aragon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Billy Joe Cansler.
