Don Wilmut, age 87, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Hitchita.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in the Archer City Cemetery with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church of Archer City, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Don was born December 25, 1938 to the late Roy Pat Wilmut and Minnie Kirkland Wilmut in Archer City.

Don honorably served his country in the United States Marines. After his tour of duty, he worked in the oilfield and was a truck driver. Don was a Maintenance Engineer for General Electric for many years.

Don enjoyed bass fishing and working on cars.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Harrison and husband, Hayden of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Donna Tuell of Hitchita, Oklahoma; step-sons, Billy Crawford and wife, DeRhonda of Talmo, Georgia, Terry Crawford and wife, Linda of Archer City; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Billy Don Wilmut; his long standing companion, Cherrie Ann Knox Byrd; and his step-daughter, Debbie Copeland.
