Donald Scott Carson, Jr., age 64, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on February 6, 2016, at his home due to natural causes.
Donald was born April 26, 1951 at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls to Donald Carson Sr. and Sofrona Wright Carson.
Due to his father's military service, Donald was raised in Wichita Falls, Amarillo, San Francisco, California, North Carolina and Okinawa, and came back to Electra when he was twelve. He graduated in 1971 from Electra High School.
Over the years, Donald worked in the oilfield, and was on a survey crew in Georgia until he moved back to Texas. He was currently employed at PPG in Burkburnett.
Donald was a quiet person who pretty much kept to himself, but enjoyed drives in the country and good movies. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his seventeen nieces and nephews like they were his.
Donald had a big heart and will truly be missed by his mother and step-father, Sofrona and Alvin Davis, Jr. of Electra; two brothers, Steven Patrick Carson and wife, Stephanie of Loganville, Georgia, and Wendell Ray Rushin, Jr. of Stockbridge, Georgia; two sisters, Tamara Dawn Gribble of Vernon, and Sheila Kay Watson and husband, Robert of San Antonio, Texas; and seventeen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Scott Carson on September 15, 1963; and two brothers, James Joseph Carson in July 1986, and Thomas "Tom" Carson on May 10, 2007.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice. It was Donald's wish that there be no public funeral ceremony. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
