Donald Ray Blakley, age 58, of Electra, Texas passed away on November 16, 2013 peacefully in his sleep.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the New Electra Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Electra Community Center from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
He was born to the late F.D. "Spider" Blakley and Wanda Blakley in Electra on August 14, 1955.
Donald Ray was a lifelong resident of Electra. He worked as a welder for Natco and Rocky Point until he became disabled.
He was family oriented and a loving father and husband. He also had a special relati9onship with his grandchildren and was a very proud "Papa" to all three of them. He enjoyed noodling, camping, tinkering with gadgets and raising dogs. He loved entertaining family and friends and was always the life of the party. He had a huge heart and never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Survivors incude his wife, Susan Blakley, sister, Sandra Blakley Sappington and husband, Ronnie, brother Dwayne Blakley, daughter, Ashley Blakley Payne, son, Anthony Blakley and three grandsons, Blake and Tyler Payne and Mason Blakley.
