Dessie Ann Brookshire, age 81, formerly of Archer City, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, in a Fort Worth nursing home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Dessie was born February 23, 1942 to the late Ezra Dewitt Brookshire and Clara Miles Brookshire in Monahans, Texas.

Dessie was a waitress throughout her life.

Survivors include two sisters, Willie B. Doss Brookshire and Joyce Newkirk Brookshire; numerous nieces and nephews and one special caregiver, Carla Ann Doss.

Dessie was also preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Oscar, Dalton and Tommy Brookshire; and two sisters, Julia Mae Brookshire and Betty Jo Brymer.
