William Dean Moeller, age 84, of Electra, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church of Electra with Rev. Terry Hickman, Pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024 at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Dean was born January 6, 1940 in Electra, Texas to the late William Henry "Bill" Moeller and Georgia Fay Gwinn Moeller. He was a graduate of Harrold High School.
Dean and Sally Ann Flint were married January 29, 1977 at Bible Baptist Church of Electra.
Dean was a farmer throughout his life. He attained his private pilot's license and had an A&P rating. Dean loved airplanes and even rebuilt a Stearman Biplane once. Throughout his life, Dean was a machinist who could make and repair almost anything. He created a T-post step to aid in climbing over barbed wire fences and sold many of these to area farmers and ranchers. Dean spent many years running bulldozers and moving dirt for W.T. Waggoner Estate and Jesse Flick. He was a man of many talents which showed throughout his lifetime.
Dean enjoyed woodworking when he wasn't working. He and his dad once set their minds to making a handmade grandfather clock which is still in the family today. Dean also had a passion for guns. He built gun stocks and repaired countless guns. Dean was always so generous with his time and talents. He was readily willing to help anyone who was struggling.
He was an active member of Bible Baptist Church of Electra for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Sally of Electra; one sister, Tela Sue Bray of Wichita Falls; one niece, Kerry Sheppard and husband, Rusty of Wichita Falls; two great-nieces, Lindsey Sheppard and Riley Chapman and husband, Rusty, all of Wichita Falls; two great-great-nephews; one great-great-niece; one brother-in-law, Butch Flint of Tennessee Colony, Texas and his children, Tammy Akers and husband, Brian, Sandy Fowler and husband, Russell and Brad Flint and wife, Brittany; one sister-in-law, Jimmie Lemons of Sunset, Texas and her son, Kenny Lemons and wife, Tami; and numerous great-nieces and nephews on Sally's side.
The family suggests memorials to Bible Baptist Church, 321 North Wilbarger Street, Electra, Texas 76360 or Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
