David Ray Schroeder, age 62, of Wichita Falls passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, in Wichita Falls.

Vigil service and rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home in Archer City with Deacon David Bindel of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery in Windthorst under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

David was born June 17, 1959 in Wichita Falls to the late Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Schroeder and Betty Jo Lerner Schroeder.  He graduated from Windthorst High School in 1977.

He and Kathy Duncan were married June 18, 1982 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

David was employed for Ferguson-Veresh Heating and Air Conditioning for forty years.

David loved gardening, hunting, fishing, country music and dancing. He also loved his dogs. He was a great man who would do anything for anyone.  David was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post # 4128.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Schroeder of Wichita Falls; son, Kyle Schroeder of Abilene; two brothers, Brian Schroeder and wife, Diane and Brad Schroeder, all of Wichita Falls; sister, Deb Gauntt and husband, Buddy of Burleson.

David was also preceded in death by one son, Craig Phillip and daughter, Rachel.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
