Danny Eugene
Ham
September 25, 1947 – May 8, 2025
Danny Eugene Ham, age 77, of Archer City, Texas passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the Archer City Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Danny was born September 25, 1947 in Wichita Falls to the late, J.W. Ham and Naomi Pauline Choate Ham. Danny graduated from Byers High School and attended Dallas Baptist University, where he played baseball. He also attended Tarleton State University.
Danny married Jane Wright on July 9, 1992 in Wichita Falls and together they built a life centered around family, friends and good humor. She preceded him in death on October 7, 2013.
Danny worked at Sears early in his career and later dedicated nearly 20 years to Burns Oil Company. He also worked at Cherrydale Farms and the Archer County Courthouse.
Outside of work, Danny enjoyed the great American pastimes. He was a fan of rodeos and Westerns, never missing a chance to watch the action and cheer on the cowboys. He loved baseball and followed the Texas Rangers every summer. He also loved hearing about his grandkids' sports achievements and laughing at their latest antics. Danny had a remarkable ability to make people laugh-whether through a perfectly times joke, a playful story, or his sly grin.
Danny is survived by his sister, Linda Cartwright and husband, Ronny; daughter, Brandi Guerry and husband, Kyle; daughter, Beth Bowles and husband, Mark; son, Casey Johle; grandchildren, Jackson Guerry, Grace Guerry, Brayden Bowles and wife, Lindsey, Baylee Koontz and husband, Gary, Emily Johle, Madelyn Johle, and Luke Johle; great-grandchildren, Khloe Koontz, Emilee Koontz, Karolyna Bowles, and the late Kannon Bowles; and neighbors Kevin and Lori Rutledge, who became family.
The family would like to thank Danny's friends at Murn's Cafe, American Legion Post 198, Meals on Wheels, Kellie Fielding, and the Rutledge's. We are sincerely grateful for your friendship and kindness over the last 12 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Legion Post 198, P.O. Box 1001, Archer City, Texas 76351.
