Danny passed away June 12, 2022 in Palm Springs, California.  He was born Daniel Keith Smith to the late Florene Hopper Smith and Leslie Ed Smith on September 6, 1948.  He graduated from Hobart High School with the class of 1966.  He then attended the University of Oklahoma.

Danny was blessed with extraordinary musical talent.  When he was only four years old, he surprised his family by playing songs on the piano which he had heard on the radio.  His ability to play the piano by ear, never having had a music lesson, became a lifelong avocation.  He was happiest when he was entertaining others with his music.  The manual dexterity he displayed on the piano transferred to typewriter and computer keyboards.  His typing skills contributed to his profession as an executive assistant with Porsche.

He is survived by his brother Mike Smith and wife Teresa, San Antonio, Texas; step-sister Linda Kessler, Dallas, Texas; step-brother Ken Rondeau and wife Sherry, Electra, Texas; niece Heather Peck, Simpsonville, South Carolina; niece Lindsay Smith, St. Louis, Missouri; nephew Jake Smith, San Antonio, Texas; cousins Karen Erbin, Harrah, Oklahoma, LaDonna Reed, Yale, Oklahoma; Sherry Block Rudkins, Mustang, Oklahoma; Dick Block, Lansing, Michigan; Ronnie Grimm, Roff, Oklahoma; Donald L. Smith, Lawton, Oklahoma; Teresa Williams, Norman, Oklahoma; Sandy Hopper Payne, Butch Hopper, Eugene Hopper, Doyle Hopper, all of Mangum, Oklahoma; Karen Breding, Graham, Texas; and Barbara Johnson, Amarillo, Texas.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home, Electra, Texas.  Interment will be in Electra Memorial Park.
