Dama Ann Adams Schenk, known to those that knew her well as "Red," passed
away on February 24, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home in Scotland,
Texas.

Dama was born on June 7, 1930, in Bomarton, Texas, to C.H. Adams and
Dixie Lee Adams. Her parents preceded her in death as well as her sisters, Bobbye
Morton and Tenia Ross. Dama was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles
"Boo" Adams; her daughter in law, Diane Miller Schenk and her nephew, Butch
Adams.

Dama graduated from Iowa Park High School at the age of 16. She became a lab
technician at Bethania Hospital after graduating from Bethania Laboratory
Technician School. She later worked for Dr. Gordon Clark at the Iowa Park Clinic.
Dama married Cletus C. Schenk of Scotland, Texas, on December 18, 1952. The
couple moved to Austin while Cletus attended the University of Texas Law School
and Dama worked at the Texas State Hospital.

After Cletus' graduation, they
returned to Wichita Falls and Dama began her new career of raising four children.

Dama was always active with the Wichita County Mounted Patrol and the Red
River Rodeo. "Red" served as the Red River Rodeo Queen Contest Chairman for
30 years, from 1964 until 1994. A former State director of the Miss Rodeo Texas
pageant stated that "Red" had the best rodeo queen contest program in the State of
Texas during her reign. Five of the senior rodeo queen contestants went on to
become Miss Rodeo Texas and one of the junior contestants became Miss Rodeo
Texas Teen.

Dama is survived by her husband, Cletus C. Schenk, and her 4 children, Randy
Schenk and his wife Patsy of Wichita Falls; LeighAnn Schenk of Arlington; John
Schenk of Wichita Falls; and Cyndi L. Schenk and her partner, Lee Ann Haines, of
Wichita Falls. Dama is survived by five grandchildren, Jennifer Schenk Cantwell,
Cletus Hal Schenk, Casey Wines, Megan Schenk Coats, and Sam Drake. Dama is
also survived by three great grandchildren, Ross Cantwell, Ty Cantwell and Cutter
Schenk. Dama is survived by two sisters and their spouses, Beth and Sid Williams
of Rancho Murieta, California and JoPat and Ronnie Laudermilk of Jolly, Texas.
Dama is also survived by her brother in law, Pat Ross, and numerous nieces and
nephews.

Dama loved her family and liked nothing better than going to rodeos with Pop,
singing, dancing, gambling and fishing. Red and her sister in law, Catherine Hoff,
spent many hours fishing and might have had a few beers in between catching fish.
No two people were ever more in love than Red and Cletus. You could just see
them look at each other and know they shared a deep love and admiration for one
another. Our Red never lacked in personality. She was so witty, funny, and so
much fun to be around. The couple was lucky enough to celebrate their 60th
wedding anniversary on December 18, 2012.

The family would like to thank the nurses at United Regional in Wichita Falls for
taking care of Dama, the sitters at Care Partners and all the staff at Hospice. The
family would like to give special thanks and gratitude to Josefina Sanchez, who
faithfully took care of Red over the last five years and also to her special niece,
Nurse Betsy, who came from California to help her Auntie Dama through her final
days. Also, the family would like to thank Joe Hoff for everything he has done for
Red and Pop when Red's health began to decline.

A memorial will be held at Aulds Funeral Home in Archer City, Texas, on
Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at seven o'clock p. m. The funeral services will be
held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at ten o'clock a.m. in Scotland, Texas at
the St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Pall bearers will be Casey Wines, Cletus Hal
Schenk, Sam Drake, Clint Cantwell, Jared Coats, and Joe Hoff.

Interment will
follow after the funeral at the St. Boniface Cemetery in Scotland, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Dama
"Red" Schenk to Hospice of Wichita Falls or the Scotland Volunteer Fire
Department.
