Conrado Lira, age 56, of Vernon, Texas, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 5, 2013, at his residence in Vernon.

Cremation services were handled by Aulds Funeral Home of Electra, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Vernon.

Mr. Lira was born on November 25, 1956 in Plainview, Texas to Marcelo Lira and Patricia Trinidad Lira.

He had resided in the Vernon area since the mid 1960's until the past two years when he resided in Greeley, Colorado. He returned to Vernon in October of 2012. He had worked in the concrete construction business throughout his lifetime.

Survivors include two daughters, Rosa Nunez of Greeley, Colorado, and Brenna Yelloweyes of Clinton, Oklahoma; four sons, Conrad Lira, Jr. of Victoria, Texas, Bruno Lira of Vernon, Texas, Jeremy Ray Hadley of Vernon, and Locadio Hadley of Clinton, Oklahoma; eight sisters, Esperanza Guerra, Manuela Guerra, Elsa Casarez, Isabel Bustamante, and Olga Lira, all of Vernon, Lupe Perez of Quanah, Texas, Eva Bustamante of Sweetwater, Texas, and Nena Alvizo of Castroville, Texas; two brothers, Juan Lira and Fidel Lira, both of Clinton, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Marcelo Lira, Jr. and Adam Lira.
