Claudia Nell Burton Mink, age 100, of Electra, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday night, July 27, 2026, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Electra with Matt DesAutels, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Electra, officiating. Private burial will be held in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Friends are welcome to sign the guest register and visit Claudia from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Claudia was born November 3, 1925, in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Bernard B. Burton and Martha Nell Cunningham Burton. She graduated from Childress High School.

She and Harris Jay Mink were married May 27, 1944, in Childress, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2017.

Claudia was a telephone operator for several years before becoming the secretary for the family business, Mink Land and Cattle, in 1955. She enjoyed volunteering her time in the Electra Community where she was a member and officer of the Electra Chamber of Commerce and Electra Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Claudia also spent many hours at the Electra Public Library was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Bobby J. Mink and wife, Connie of Iowa Park; three grandchildren, Bobby J. Mink and wife, Renee of Austin, Shelbye Jeannette Phillips and husband, Jeff of Henderson, Texas, and Randall James Mink of Iowa Park; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Phillips, Makayla Phillips and Jaylen Mink.

Claudia was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Lee; and four sisters, Louise, Jo, Irene and Robin.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
