Claire Louise Moorehead, age 92, 0f Archer City, Texas passed away Saturday morning, March 30, 2013, in the Archer City Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, in the Holliday Cemetery with Rev. Beth Kellner, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Archer City, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Claire was born December 23, 1920 in Apollo, Pennsylvania to Clair Thomas Beighley and Mary Evelyn Ivory Beighley. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in Wellsburg, West Virginia.
She married Henry Moorehead who preceded her in death on November 17, 1980.
Claire was employed as a sales clerk for Sears for over twenty-five years. After her retirement, she was employed at Dugan's Store in Holliday. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church. Claire loved to crochet.
Survivors include one son, Billy Moorehead and wife, Nancy of Archer City; one daughter, Patricia Ann Marley of Burkburnett, Texas; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Paul Beighley and two sisters, Helen Ferguson and Rosene Ford.
The family suggests memorials to the Archer Service Center, P.O. Box 578, Archer City, Texas 76351.
