Charles C. "Chuck" Crowley, age 32, of San Antonio, formerly of Archer City, passed away Saturday night, June 7, 2014, in Care Regional Medical Center in Aransas Pass, Texas with cardiac dysrhythmia complications from childhood.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Aulds Funeral Home.

Charles Calvin Crowley began life in Wichita Falls on September 12, 1981 born to Jim Bob Crowley and Carol Ann Hopkins Crowley.

He grew up in Archer City attending Archer City ISD. He enjoyed high school football, basketball, track, and baseball achieving several awards. He also excelled in 4-H Trap making it to state twice. Hunting quail and dove with dad filled many afternoons with fun and action. Chuck was an avid water skier, snow skier and sky diver.

Charles entered the scouting program as a tiger cub and eventually earned Eagle Scout. He attended Midwestern University attaining a Criminal Justice degree. During his college years, he followed his grandfather's footsteps in becoming a basketball and football referee.

He worked at Allred State Prison after college for one year. His career with Choate USA began in Dallas Texas shortly after attaining his irrigator's license. He was transferred to San Antonio to become a manager in 2008. In the ensuring years, he rose to the office of Vice President of Operations. While employed at Choate USA, he met Daisy Gonzales, the love of his life.

Charles "Chuck" was a kind, generous, loving soul and so enjoyed his family and friends. His Harley Davidson was his favorite toy, enjoying many extended trips around the United States. Kaly, his yellow labrador, was his faithful copilot. The two of them spent endless hours shooting and retrieving everything from doves, ducks, and squirrels.

Survivors include his parents, Jim Bob and Carol Crowley of Archer City; two sisters, Vanessa Crowley of Jinja, Uganda, Africa, and Vicki Ostermann and husband, Klint of Archer City; grandmothers, Mary Lee Crowley Hawkins , Leann Hopkins of Archer City; nieces, Paytyn, Morgan and Olivia Ostermann of Archer City; the love of his life, Daisy Gonzales of San Antonio; several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Chester Crowley on April 9, 1975 and Paul Hopkins on November 8, 2012.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jace Campbell, D.J. Gillespie, Bobby Martin, Beau Reneau, Dustin Owens, and Steven Wuthrich. Honorary pallbearers will be Putt Choate, Micah Deerinwater,Pete de Wall, Jason Kennedy,Danny Luig, Jay Polivkam, Gabe Sanford, Galen Valadez and Josh Winter.
