Cecil David Loyd, age 74, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in a Dallas hospital.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home located at 307 South Center, Archer City, Texas 76351.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2025, in the Archer City Cemetery with Jimmy Lamb, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Cecil was born April 29, 1951 to the late Cecil Frederick Loyd and Annie Mae Shirley Loyd Camper in Electra, Texas.

Cecil was employed at Pioneer #3 as a dishwasher for several years and was a very hard worker.  He also was very mechanically inclined and worked on his own vehicles.  Cecil was good hearted and he loved his family and friends.  He especially loved his four chihuahua puppies.

Survivors include three brothers, John Wayne Loyd of Wichita Falls, Eldron Loyd and wife, Mindy of Holliday, and Calvin Loyd of Stephenville; four sisters, Susan Rogers and husband, Terry of Wichita Falls, Carolyn Boyster and husband, Jack of Paducah, Kentucky, Barbara Ross of Buda, Texas and Cynthia Bohrer and husband, Carl of Canyon Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one son, David Jo Loyd; brother, Horace Bruce Mowery; and sister, Shirley Loyd.
