Catherine Elizabeth Schenk Hoff, age 81, of Scotland, Texas passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, at her residence.
Vigil service and rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, O.F.S. Parochial Administrator of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Windthorst under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Catherine was born March 18, 1937 in Scotland, Texas to the late John Joseph Schenk and Mary Lucille Moore Schenk.
She and Al "Toddy" Hoff were married on June 8, 1955 in Scotland, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2009.
Catherine was employed at the Wichita Falls State Hospital where she worked for thirty years of dedicated service. She retired on September 30, 1997.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland and the St. Boniface Altar Society. Catherine loved gardening and won many awards for her vegetables. She also enjoyed fishing and was an awesome cook. She was an amazing Mom, and a superb "Nanaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Moer and Larry Ables of Scotland, Karen Burks and husband, Billy of Archer City, and Sherry Brown and husband, Matthew of Spanish Fort, Texas; one son, Joe Hoff and wife, Shirley of Scotland; son-in-law, Terry Canada and wife, Georganne of Archer City; two brothers, Leonard Schenk and wife, Vera Ann of Scotland and Cletus Schenk and wife, Linda, of Scotland; two sisters, JoAnn Klein of Henrietta, and Patsy Scheffe and husband, Bobby, of Windthorst; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Catherine was also preceded in death by son, Dale Warren Hoff, daughter, Becky Hoff Canada; son-in-law, Dwain Moer; sister, Lillian Webster; and three brothers, Roy Lee, Vincent and J.O. Schenk.
