Carolyn Clanton Blackwood, age 81, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away Saturday morning, April 30, 2016 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Carolyn was born October 31, 1934 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to the late Vaughn Wesley Clanton and Carmen Ivey Barnett Clanton.
She married the love of her life, Robert A. Blackwood who preceded her in death on March 15, 2008.
Carolyn was an Attorney at Law throughout her life. She was a member of the Georgia Bar Association.
Carolyn was a major supporter of the Coca Cola Company.
Survivors include one son, Jeff Blackwood and wife, Marianne of Iowa Park; one daughter, Jocelyn Palmer and husband, John of Newnan, Georgia; two sisters, Elizabeth Moses of Peachtree City, Georgia and Jana Tatum of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandsons, James Blackwood and wife, Tiffany and Taylor Blackwood and wife, Mary; and two great-grandchildren Elly and Jake.
The family would like to thank Texhoma Christian Care Center, especially Dustin, Carol and Miesha, and Hospice of Wichita Falls for all the loving care that you gave to our mother, Carolyn Blackwood.
