Brenda Lou Blankenship Harrigal, age 79 of Holliday, Texas passed away Friday, March13, 2026, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the Holliday Cemetery Pavilion with Bill Lee and Gwinn Blankenship officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Brenda was the youngest of seven children born to the late Clyde Cleo Blankenship and Bernice Mae McKinney Blankenship in Seymour, Texas. She graduated from Seymour High School.
Brenda married the love of her life, John Wayne Harrigal on June 2, 1963 in Seymour. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2020.
She worked at a grocery store and eventually purchased the store. She then worked at Wichita Oxygen and Air Gas for fourteen years and finally for Wichita Metal as a bookkeeper until her retirement.
Brenda was a member of Holliday Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She also was a member of Holliday Homemaker Association, Holliday VFD Auxiliary where she served as President, Vice President and Treasurer and the Holliday Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Harrigal of Holliday; one son, Doug Harrigal and wife, Alaina of Holliday; three sisters, Loretha Kaufhold of Iowa Park, Norma Jean Bonetti of Houston, and Linda Gregg of Waco; brother, Gwinn Blankenship and wife, Martha of Rockwall; and three grandchildren, Christi Bultena and husband, Dustin, Ambri Harrigal, Hadley Harrigal and Rylie Taylor.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeff Dwayne Harrigal; grandson, Darin McKae Pruett; and two sisters, Louise Jones and Joella Jones.
