Retired Chief Master Sergeant, Bonnie L. Cooper, age 84, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra, with Greg Campbell, Minister of Lackland Terrace Church of Christ in San Antonio, officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held in New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Bonnie was born July 10, 1941 in Electra, Texas to the late William S. Cooper and Johnnie L. Campbell Cooper.
After high school, Bonnie joined the United States Air Force where she had a thirty year career as a medic. Upon retirement from the Air Force, she worked for the Veterans Affairs Office for seventeen years. Anything to do with the United States Military was extremely important to Bonnie. She had an undying love for her country and the American Flag.
Bonnie spent her Sundays passing out Bibles to the new recruits at Lackland Air Force Base. She loved traveling any chance she could. Bonnie was a member of the Women in the Air Force (WAF) Association, where she kept up with the addresses and death records. She was a member of Lackland Terrace Church of Christ.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Candy Cooper of San Antonio; one brother, Gary Cooper and wife, Mary of Brownwood; one aunt, Betty Schaefer of Indio, California; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Don Cooper.
