Billy Chambles, age 52, of Archer County, Texas passed away Monday, February 25, 2013, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Texoma Cowboy Church, located at 919 US Hwy 281 with Roger Deerinwater, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Archer City, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Billy was born January 2, 1961 in Olney, Texas to Don Clarence Chambles and Betty Lou Perkins Chambles.
He graduated from Archer City High School in 1979. Billy did day work for area ranchers. In 1991, he was employed for Bridwell Ranch where he was the ranch foreman.
Survivors include one son, Bray Chambles of Albany, Texas; his mother, Betty Chambles of Archer City; one sister, Barbara Box and husband, Lee of Holliday; and two granddaughters, Cassidy and Tagan Chambles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don on July 12, 1992.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joe Mac Boggeman, Ty Boggeman, Dave Coleman, Justin Coleman, Kendall Coleman, Cody Collins, John Hampton, Joe Harney, Stephen Huffman, Gary West and Zane West.
