Billy Ray "BR" Segler, age 81, of Electra, Texas, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, in Electra Memorial Hospital.

No services will be held at this time.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

BR was born December 25, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Ray Doyce Segler and Mary Tulah Brumbelow Segler.

He married Sandra Ann Wood on August 6, 1960 in Kadane Corner, Texas.

BR and Sandra opened S&S Electric Motor Repair in 1996.  Together they built a successful and well respected business.

His dad taught him how to work when he was growing up and he never knew any different.

BR enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, westerns, cowboy movies and piddling in his shop.  He was a good friend to everyone he ever met.  BR loved his family fiercely and especially loved giving his grandbabies all the candy they wanted.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra of Electra; three sons, Scott Segler and wife, Michaele, Curtis Segler and wife, Starlene and Ben Segler and wife, Leigh, all of Electra; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his and Sandra's loyal and loving companion, Sugar.

He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Tulah Elaine Jefferys and Lilly Sue Segler.
