Billie Jean Weatherall Willis, age 88, of Mansfield, Texas, formerly of Electra, Texas, passed away early Saturday morning, June 11, 2022, in Mansfield.
Family visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church of Electra. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Billie was born August 30, 1933 in Petrolia, Texas to the late Oscar Lee Weatherall and Mamie Blanche Bell Weatherall.
Billie graduated from Petrolia High School and then attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls. She was employed by the Texas Pipeline Company for ten years, Banez Clinic for five years and then McKelvy and Hayers Attorneys for ten years until her retirement in 1991.
She married Marvin Ray Willis on June 14, 1958 in Petrolia. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2022.
Billie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Electra where she served as the chairman of the Church Bazaar. She also was a member of South Electra Extension Education Club, the Friends of the Electra Public Library and the local chapter of AARP. Billie loved to sew, square dancing and traveling.
Survivors include son, Dr. John Willis of Mansfield; daughter, Debbie Willis of Fort Worth; nephew, Eddie Roberson and wife, Becky of Lake Arrowhead, nieces, Cheryl Roberson of Wichita Falls, and Betty Wilson and husband, Johnny of Petrolia; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lee Maxey, Sunny Roberson and brothers, J.R. Weatherall and Bob Weatherall.
The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, 1107 South Bailey St, Electra, Texas 76360.
