Electra

Barbara "Bobbie" Pursley, age 74, of Electra, Texas passed away Monday, February 16, 2015, in Electra.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Southside Church of Christ in Electra. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Barbara was born September 9, 1940 to the late Floyd James Rodgers and Grace Lorraine McGowan Rodgers in Electra.

She and Gary Pursley were married August 6, 1957. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1974.

She was an LVN for several years. Bobbie was a member of Southside Church of Christ and the Electra VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and quilting. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorina O'Toole of Centennial, Colorado; three sons, Robert Pursley and wife Nita of Sanger, Texas, Donald Pursley of Electra, and Stephen Pursley and wife, Sandy of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Virginia Hammons and Judy O'Roak and husband, Waylon of Electra; two brothers, Jimmie "J.R." Rodgers of Electra, and Gary Rodgers and Ruby of Jefferson City, Texas; one sister-in-law, Becky Rodgers of Electra; and five grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Rodgers and Tommy Rodgers.
