Anna Mae Veitenheimer, age 94, of Windthorst passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, Pastor of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Anna Mae was born May 17, 1928 to the late Reinhold Theodore Lindeman and Josephine J. Krahl Lindeman.

She married George Veitenheimer on July 7, 1947 in Scotland, Texas.  He preceded her in death on February 11, 2011.

Anna Mae was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a long time member of St. Mary's Choir and served as Eucharistic Minister to the sick.  She was a seventy plus year member of the Christian Mother's Society holding various offices.  She was a CCD teacher for many years.  She represented St. Mary's as Parish President of NCCW for over twenty years.  In 1992, she was nominated for the Benediction to Mankind Award.  She belonged to the Scotland-Windthorst VFW Post 2676 where she served as secretary for many years.

Her greatest legacy was her love for her family.  She was devoted to her church family and community.  Her passions included sewing, gardening, canning, bowling and attending senior citizens.

Besides her large extended family being her passion, she loved to sew and design from the age of twelve well into her ninety-fourth year.  Whether it be a wedding dress or pj's and pillows, we know it was made with love.  She treasured her time enclosed in her sewing room, where arthritic pain was forgotten as she sat at her sewing machine… lost in her crafts.  We will cherish these memories.

Survivors include five daughters, Carol Yates of Wichita Falls, Gail Schroeder and husband, Joey of Windthorst, Julie Stiver and husband, Bill of Wichita Falls, Patty Roewe and husband, Norbert of Houston; Laurie Tubbs and husband, David of Wichita Falls; two sons, James Veitenheimer and wife, Yvonne of Windthorst, and Chuck Veitenheimer and wife, Mitzi of Windthorst; one brother, Robert Lindeman; two sisters, Teresa Birkenfield, Dorothy Berend and husband, Ray; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Lindeman, Marie Veitenheimer, and Florence Peters and husband, Bookman; twenty-three grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren with two on the way; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and John Lindeman; and her son-in-law, Chuck Yates.
