Anna Sue Byrd, age 82, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, in a Wichita Falls hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018, in Electra Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Anna was born February 2, 1936 in Gladewater, Texas to the late Otis Neal Wells and Nettie Jewel Brown Wells.

She married James William "Bill" Byrd on June 6, 1964 in Iowa Park, Texas.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 2005.

Anna was a homemaker who loved needlework, making porcelain dolls and reading.

Survivors include one son, Randy Byrd of Wichita Falls; one daughter, Maureen Dewees and husband, Randy of Lubbock; two brothers, Kenneth Wells of Arlington, and Otis James Wells of Denton; two grandchildren, Gene Bohannon and wife, Tanya of Godley; and Corey Mitchell of Terre Haute, Indiana; sister-in-law, Mary Eissinger of Lubbock; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Shannon Mitchell and sister, Teddy Ruth Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Rathgeber Hospitality House, 1615 12th Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301.
